Cool weather & celebration

Our weather remains unbelievable. This morning is was around 56F. Amazing. It has showered lightly the last 7 mornings. Today it did not. It is heaven to sit outside in the evenings. Rain is in the forecast for later tonite and tomorrow.
Yesterday I worked again. I got all my thank you letters signed, addressed, and mailed. Then it was so nice and quiet. But it did not last. An unexpected group of 8 college kids from Concordia KS came in for a tour. They even paid $5 for each of them. That was a surprise. We have no admission fee but take donations. Some people never leave a cent. What do they think we pay the bills with? All the kids were really nice and interested in what I said. And two of them bought prints from our artist in residence, Linda Wisely. You can visit her website here. I will miss her!! But another arrives this week.
Today Sally had John, Bunny and her husband, and me over for lunch. It was John’s birthday last tuesday so we had a little surprise celebration for him. Sally fixed a feast. We sat and chatted all afternoon.
Our stray dog is still here. I think someone dumped him here. Today he actually came up to me. He is a German shepherd. And quite sweet. A couple of times he just laid his head on my arm. Just broke my heart. I am trying to convince Willie he can stay. Willie and Jo left for a while and he laid near me and napped. Willie is not known for doing anything I like or want so am not hopeful. But he is more talk than action so there is a little hope.

I like that artwork on the brick. Is that outside the studio?
It is so hard to believe you are that cool. I went outside at 7 am to walk Izzy and it is already steaming hot.

We had a shower again this morning with more forecast. Still cool. would be great sleeping if I could sleep. Blood sugar dropped very low for the second nite in a row. Not good.
On the 29 I go to a diabetic specialist as last week my numbers went high for some reason. I ate nothing different that day but I have been stressed big time. I have to keep a two week record to show him. It was my decision to ask my primary care Dr. about going. Just don't want to get caught surprised by something.
Maybe when winter gets here your sleeping will be back to normal.
I cannot figure why my blood sugar is dropping at nite. Maybe just not eating enough. And could it not happen at midnite instead of 2am???
